How it works, and what it will not do
Most owners have a will from years ago, a handshake with a partner, and a bank that only knows one signature. Nobody has ever laid out, event by event, what actually happens. This tool does that from your own answers.
- Seven short modules. Business, ownership, family, people, personal finances (as much or as little as you like), documents, and your wishes. Questions you do not need are never shown.
- Every event, three phases. Before you step back (death, disability, divorce, a partner leaving, a guarantee called), the exit itself (sale, family transfer, management buyout, employee ownership), and afterwards until the end (remarriage, a buyer defaulting, care costs, a child's divorce).
- Each card shows four things. What happens today from your answers, what you said you want, how serious the gap is, and the exact instructions and questions for your lawyer. You edit anything, then approve it.
- Two documents. A plain-English summary for you and your spouse, and an instruction memo your lawyer can work from directly.
What it will not do: give you legal or tax advice, value the business, or draft documents. It describes the patterns that commonly apply in the US and in the UK and sends every specific point to your lawyer and accountant to confirm.
